1. Switch off all electrical appliances when they're not in use. Don't use standby mode.

2. Unplug all your chargers.

3. Shower for one (or two) minutes less.

5. Don't wash dishes under running water; fill the sink with water instead.

6. Put your dishwasher on economy mode.

7. Install a water-saving shower head.

8. Fix all your leaking taps.

9. Choose electronic billing to save paper and distribution costs.

10. Switch your computer off overnight or when you're away for more than two hours. Even switching off the monitor makes a difference.

11. Turn the lights off when you leave a room. It's as simple as that.

12. Buy energy-saving lightbulbs.

13. Reduce the indoor temperature at night.
