What we do

Reducing climate impact is an ongoing effort and over the years we have made a number of changes to our products, packaging and manufacturing. Here are some examples:
 
- We have reduced the climate impact of our pant diapers by 31% and of our open diapers by 32% since 2008*
 
- We have reduced the average product weight of our diapers by 19%, resulting in less waste and reduced use of resources since 2008*. Thinner diapers also give your child more freedom to move.
 
- We use only certified renewable electricity in our diaper factories. This energy comes from renewable sources such as wind, water, solar and biomass and is purchased with guarantees of origin certificates issued by independent institutes, such as the European Energy Certificate System (EECS). Through this work, we support the development of renewable electricity.
 
- Our plastic packaging for open and pant diaper assortments contains 60% recycled plastic. By using recycled plastic we reduce unnecessary waste, save resources and reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
 
- 100% of the pulp used in our diapers comes from FSC® Chain of Custody Controlled Wood (is FSC certified?)
 
- We work together with suppliers to improve resource efficiency in our product life cycles.

**Since 2008, we have reduced the weight of our diapers by 19%. Changes to the weight of our products are averages based upon life cycle evaluations for baby products.
